Make it Monday! 3D Tutorial

Good Morning!

It's Monday and for Make it Monday I have a tutorial for you on creating 3D stamped images for your cards or projects. For this particular piece I have used a La La Land stamp Kitty Kat Marci.

STEP ONE:  You will need to stamp your image a number of times. For this project I have stamped my image four times in total.  (Three stamps I used to colour for my pop up areas and these will be cut up and the last stamped image I used for the base of my stamp). If you are using digital stamps then print your image a number of times.  To begin with you will need to colour the areas on your stamp that you wish to raise and have popped up, these areas will all be cut out.  This is shown in the photograph below.

For my first areas I have coloured the hat, top and skirt on Marci.

For my second areas I have coloured the ears and crosses on Marci's Hat, the details on her shirt, shoes and the flowers centre.

For the final area to be raised on my stamp I have coloured the flower.

STEP TWO: Once you have coloured each area that you wish to raise you then need to cut them out. This is a little time consuming however it is absolutely worth it as the end result looks wonderful. You can either fussy cut with scissors or you may like to use a craft knife. I prefer the scissors, however it is personal preference.

STEP THREE:  For the base of the image which is the fourth image stamped you then need to colour the rest of Marci these areas are what will remain flat and will be the base for which you will stick the pop up pieces. So in this case I coloured her hair, face and her stockings.  You will notice that I have then coloured all the other areas black.  This is the base for my pop up areas. I have coloured them black as it gives a more finished and professional look when the image is all finished.

This is a close up look of your main completed base stamp of Marci and how it should look just before you are ready to assemble and stick all your raised coloured sections on.

This is what you should start with when ready to stick all your pieces together. To complete your project each cut out coloured area is then stuck on your main completed stamp.

This is Marci all stuck together. I find zots glue dots the best option for this project. However you can use what you have available. Any 3D glue or sticky dots will work fine.

A close up view of Marci raised. I have cut her out completely to finish the stamp off nicely.

STEP FOUR: Its now time to assemble your completed project on card stock or whatever you wish.  I have chosen to do a sweet little note book for my daughter.

For my completed project I have chosen a blue, red and lemon colour scheme. I have sewn my papers together and used red, white and lemon flowers, blue satin ribbon, pearl accents, a smile embellishment and red brads to complete the notebook!

I hope you like it.  This is particularly fun to do and the end result is so cute! I have linked my final piece to the La La Land Craft Gallery.

Hope you have a wonderful week.

Make it Monday - Sketch 1

Good Morning Everyone!

After a few weeks of being unwell I have decided to try to get back into what I love.   This is the first of many sketches which will be posted each Monday for Make it Monday....

I managed to finish two cards over the weekend! These are particularly special too me due to the fact that the cute little digi images that I have use were drawn by my beautiful children Ayshia and Jostyn.

They have drawn a set of cute little bugs which I have had turned into dig's for them by a wonderful lady called Trina Clark from Digi Scrap Kits.

The characters were so cute I couldn't resist setting them up there own little store. Please feel free to take a look at Fee Lees Scrappy Kids Store.

The first little image of a worm is by my son Jostyn!

The second Jasmine the Ladybug is by my daughter Ayshia!

Thank you for taking the time to share my blog.

Make It Monday - Your Purrfect.

Make it Monday.

Good Afternoon!

Today I am kicking off Make it Monday with a cute little stamped image from JAR.  I really loved this stamp and I think its a simple and cute little stamp.  It was fun to do.  I have called it Your Purrfect....

Hope you like it.

I have coloured the stamp using Copic Markers. As you can see I went for something bright and fun with my colour scheme. I used a Green Polka dot Paper from Stampin Up with a yellow card stock that I scolloped around the edges. To compliment the papers I have used green velvet ribbon and used green and pink embellishments to decorate my card. I particularly love the dragonfly sticker..... Unfortunately I can not remember where I purchased this one from it has been in my scrapbooking and craft room just waiting for  this card.....

Thanks for looking

Time to get busy!

Monday Morning!

The weeks are flying by again!  It's already nearing the end of March.  As a child time seemed to go so slow. Now days time is faster than ever.  All those unfinished projects.  I have decided to make a commitment to myself to complete them!  I have a mountain of unfinished scrapbooking layouts which I started with all the best intensions of completing them. Now its time to get them up to date.  So over the next few weeks I will also be posting some layouts that I have completed. I hope you will like them.  I figured if I commit myself to my blog then I have to do them. I will be dedicating a day on my blog especially to scrapbooking. However I will also be doing other things like card making, Copic tutorials, and other art projects that I have been dabbling in as well.  I want to inspire you and give you some ideas on creating new and fun projects.  Art, Design and Crafts are a wonderful outlet. That feeling of getting lost in a project and the end result that you completed something that looks so wonderful is fantastic. So with that in mind this will be how I would like things to progress on my blog.

I want my blog not to be simply a card, scrapbooking or craft blog it is all of these combined.  I know there are crafters out there that are dedicated and are just into card making,  scrapbooking or craft.  However I am a multi tasking type of girl. Yes I love to scrapbook however what I have learned in scrapbooking has crossed over into card making and visa versa. I also love to paint and draw. So I am hoping to provide a little special and something for everyone. What ever you love I hope you find inspiration here with me.  Starting next week.........The Week will goes as follows...........

Make it Mondays will be Cards, Cards, Cards. ( Card making tips and ideas )

Talented Tuesdays will be Guest Designers. However I think I will run something a little differently here. I have decided I am sure there are a lot of you who have wonderful art work and wish to display it however are maybe a little unsure how to post on a blog or ever not sure if your work is good enough. I want to display your work.  It would be my pleasure to do so. So I will be setting up a link where  you can email me photographs of your completed project and I will post it for you.

What's Up Wednesday will be updates and progress with my business ventures. I am in the process of dealing with a manufacturer at the moment to bring out a new line of rubber stamps. This is very exciting for me and as I progress I will keep you posted.

Tutorial Thursdays Every second Thursday will be Copic Tutorials with Scrappy Go Lucky. Which will also lead into classes being held at Scrappy Go Lucky.

Free For All Fridays will be what ever takes my fancy. I will post painting drawings, or something of a similar nature.

Scrappy Saturdays every second Saturday will be dedicated to those completed scrapbooking layouts I keep promising myself. I will give you examples of layouts I have completed and also provide step by step instructions too. Here is a sneak peak of the one I started this Saturday gone and I will be posting the full step by step instructions this Saturday coming. I will also be posting a link on the La La Land Blog Customer Gallery when its completed.

I Look forward to inspiring you and seeing what you create too.
