What's Up Wednesday - Banner

Good Morning!

It's Wednesday already.  Can you believe how fast the year is going!

I am in the process of getting a few blog changes.  I love my background colours however I wanted to personalise my blog a little.  So Trina will be creating a banner for me with my little characters that I painted.  I can't wait to make the changes to my blog it should be lovely!

I am also in the process of completing my website.  I am almost there.  I am so very pleased with it! I will be adding a link to my website directly from my blog.  Which will be hopefully in a few weeks time!

I hope life is treating you all well.

Scrappy Saturday - Leaving Home

Good Evening!

For Scrappy Saturday this week  I am posting two similar layouts that I did for both my children Ayshia and Jostyn.  At a similar age of approximately 3 years old both of my children went thru a stage where on a particular day they decided they were not happy with me for different reasons so they promptly told me they were running away from home.  I might add that this happened as separate incidents for both children at roughly the same age. It was very amusing a the time.  So I came up with two layouts  that reminded me of  Huckleberry Finn with checkered shirts, overalls and a rucksack over there shoulders!  I really loved how these turned out. As I have mentioned before I love the keep things equal in my house so it only seemed fitting that I have a pink and blue layout for my beautiful daughter Ayshia and a green and blue layout for my handsome son Jostyn.

Both layouts are cut into overall shapes and sewn on the sewing machine.  I have then attached buttons for the shirts and buckles for the overalls. To finish off the layout I have added pockets made out of matching card stock and placed co-ordinated fabric in each pocket to look like a handkerchief.  On the front of each pocket I have placed a metal embellishment with each of the children's initial.  On the second pages of the layout I have left room for the children's photograph.  This has been attached with a copper hinge as under the photograph I have written the children both a letter explaining what occurred on the day the decided they wanted to leave me!  I have always taken the time to write down special things that have occurred in my children's lives from silly things they have said to moments like these.  I am so very glad that I took the time too do this because as we all know things happen so fast in life so I don't ever want to forget moments like these!

I hope you like them!

Free for all Friday's - Potted Cyclamen

Good Morning!

For Free for all Friday this week I decided to post some of my artwork for something a little different.  I particularly love this piece!  I absolutely love flowers and gardening. Anything to do with being outside really. Nature can be so inspirational.  I love Cyclamens how they bend and the shapes of there leaves and the two pots from my garden provided all the inspiration I needed for this piece. My choice of medium chalks.  I hope you like it!

What's Up Wednesday's

Good Morning Everyone!

Well as I posted a few weeks ago I have been unwell. I am still trying to get to the bottom of what's going on, however I figured distraction is probably my best friend at the moment.

To keep myself busy I have set up my children Ayshia and Jostyn's Digi store which was fun and so cute to do.

I have also been getting my designs for my stamps production ready and coming up with a few new lovely little characters based on my two beautiful children.  I painted a cute whimsical picture of them both a few years ago which I stumbled across last week.  This inspired me to get creating!  Wow are these cute. And I can not wait to share them with you all.

Talented Tuesday

Good Morning.  It's Talented Tuesday!

This week I have two very special Guest Designers on my blog.

They are Ayshia and Jostyn. My two beautiful children.

I couldn't resist putting my children Ayshia and Jostyn's work this week for the simple fact they deserve to be recognised.  Yes Yes I know I am their mum and sometimes we all tend to be bias towards our children however setting that aside. I really do see talent in both of them. Ayshia is 12 years old and already is producing the most wonderful artwork and characters. She has the most gorgeous imagination. And as for Jostyn who is only 8 years old he too is so talented and creates the most wonderful cards and characters. He already shows a wonderful knowledge and understanding of complimentary colour which just amazes me!

That is why this week I decided I could not pass up the opportunity to display there work and show you all what they are up too. I am so very proud of them both. They make my heart sing and soul soar!!!

I hope you like them!

Make it Monday - Sketch 1

Good Morning Everyone!

After a few weeks of being unwell I have decided to try to get back into what I love.   This is the first of many sketches which will be posted each Monday for Make it Monday....

I managed to finish two cards over the weekend! These are particularly special too me due to the fact that the cute little digi images that I have use were drawn by my beautiful children Ayshia and Jostyn.

They have drawn a set of cute little bugs which I have had turned into dig's for them by a wonderful lady called Trina Clark from Digi Scrap Kits.

The characters were so cute I couldn't resist setting them up there own little store. Please feel free to take a look at Fee Lees Scrappy Kids Store.

The first little image of a worm is by my son Jostyn!

The second Jasmine the Ladybug is by my daughter Ayshia!

Thank you for taking the time to share my blog.
